Understanding the Crossed Daily Highs Resistance Alert
The crossed daily highs resistance alert reports whenever a stock crosses above any previous day's high for the first time since the end of that previous day. This compares the current price to the daily highs for the past year.
These alerts are a variation on the idea of a 5 day high or a 52 week low. These alerts tell you when a stock is moving from 5 day highs to 6 day highs. Or from 6 day highs to 7 day highs etc.
The messages and the filters for this alert are the same as for the new high price alerts. In fact, this alert is a subset of the standard daily high alerts. This alert only reports when the number of days in the new high changes.
